I want to ask you about something.
In our class, when we enter the classroom before the teacher, students think that we will teach and become very happy. I asked one of them about this and she said "You are very good teachers. Beacuse of that we become happy." But I don't think so. What do you think about this?

i think they need difference and u, as the fresh teachers, are a great opprtunity for them. also believe me if u teach for a month, they will ask for their own teacher. u know they are pupils.

Maybe Mehmet is right. Novelty always attracts their attention. But do not forget that they are children. I mean, they are usually frank and straight or even tactless. If they don't like something, they do not hesitate to tell it.
SO they like you. Trust me. That's for sure.
In my humble opinion, it's not you but the teacher should worry about it. I mean, there must be some other reason why these children prefer you to him/her. Unfortunately they seem bored :((

Yeah, I agree with Sibel, those kids seem very bored with their actual teachers. They see them almost every day, and of course they get happy when someone new and young appears in their classroom. Young teachers seem like fun, there's a smaller age gap between you and those children, than between them and their actual teachers. They feel some kind of spiritual bond with you! I had a similar experience when entered a state school as a pre-service teacher some years ago. Don't disappoint them, talk to them, keep them interested and motivated!
